After Harry Potter defeated the Dark Lord, the wizarding world did move on. They started families, pursued careers of their choices, and adjusted to life without the constant fear of losing their lives.
The year is 2030, and the generation that had to deal with the second coming of Lord Voldemort is beginning to age and even thinking of retiring. Their children have inherited a peaceful world and have grown up without a care in their heads, aside from career choices and the usual social, emotional, physical toils and challenges of growing up.
But little do they know, in their safe bubble of security, that something is going to happen that is going to tear their fragile lives apart.
The night of December 2nd, 2029, something very, very bad happened. And it changed the way the world looked at itself--possibly for the rest of its existence. At 8:43:56PM GMT, a lethal virus was released into the atmosphere that would terminate all muggles except those that were immune to the disease. Wizards were NOT unaffected and contracted a horrible case of the flu that lasted almost two weeks. The end result was the loss of exactly 94.3% of all muggles. The reaction to the news was obviously an uproar of pain and sadness; a lot of wizarding folk had muggle families or children that hadn't adopted the wizarding genes. Luckily, 6.7% still survived and wizarding groups rushed to their aid as most of them were still sick.
Even more unfortuntely, because the Ministry of Magic couldn't come up with anything to stop the virus and it effectively wiped out almost half of the world. This obviously left Earth in a state of chaos. The focus of this game, however, is what's being done in United States.
The government immediately rushed into action attempting to reestablish order. However, crime was still rampant throughout the United States. On February 11, 2008, a prominent landmark in the wizarding world was attacked.
The Griffin had long been the link between muggle and wizarding Boston. Unlike the Leaky Cauldron in London, the Griffin served as a library not a tavern. It was run by an old wizard- no one could tell how old he was exactly- named Michael Hancock.
The morning of the 12th, a junior librarian named Carrie Edwards arrived at the Griffin. To her surprise, she found the building locked and dark. When she entered, she found Hancock dead behind the main counter. Quickly, she contacted the Bureau of Aurors, but no suspects have been named so far.
Meanwhile, rumors are flying about the disease that has killed half the population. Many people believe that the disease was released by the British Ministry. There is a growing distrust of foreigners throughout the country.
Griffin, the game, takes place in and around Boston. Fitchburg Finches are a favored Quidditch team. Wizards and witches are much more dependent on electricity and the internet than their British counterparts. The entire country mourns for Michael Hancock, a prominent figure in the wizarding community.

Benson Ormerod Wagtail.
Benson probably wouldn't have been a bad kid considering. He definitely didn't start out that way. As a small child, he was touted to be the next big star... as soon as he got old enough to walk, talk, and play a guitar. Once he could speak, he had the best manners of any child you'd ever meet.
Ben was definitely used to the good life. Even after his younger siblings were born, he was spoiled beyond any normal person's imagination.
At age 11, Ben went to Hogwarts and was sorted into Slytherin. While still known by quite a few of his peers, he wasn't as special as he was outside the walls of the castle. It was also there that he began picking up bad ideas. The ideas of blood superiority were slowly driven into his mind before anyone - including himself- could pick up on it.
Even on holidays, Ben began being able to pick up on people's blood views. He would subtly make classist comments without really realizing it. The notions that his blood was better than others was so driven into his subconscious that he acted without thinking.
Ben had never been much of a thinker to start out with. He barely passed his classes, and he wasn't horribly fond of Quidditch. He prefered sneaking out to grab a smoke or get pissed on vodka and fire whiskey.
After he graduated - to many's surprise - Ben started a band. They came to be fairly well known after an album or two. However, by the time Ben turned 19, he had a horrible drug problem. At age 23, he was found passed out by brother, who was visiting him. That night changed Ben, and he got himself clean. The two brothers never speak of that night, but it brought them even closer as brothers.
After getting clean, Ben decided to leave the spotlight. He started a production company (Wagtail Recordings) and a magazine (Tarantallegra). Now he lets his little sister claim the spotlight - although he worries about her excess.
Personality Benson has a very skewed view of right and wrong. He very rarely thinks of himself as being wrong. He is very classist and blood purist. This is often overlooked by people when they think of his fame and fortune.
Benson suffers from anxiety disorders. He gets panic attacks and times and he has problems dealing with people in large groups. | | Saturday, December 29th, 2007 | | 12:19 pm |

Fred Weasley Fred is most definitely a Weasley. He’s a trouble-maker and prank-puller – hey, he’s got a name to live up to! Fred likes to believe that he’s exactly like his father, but he does take after his mother a bit. He’s always the one in the group that has the oddest, most off the wall suggestion. And he really does believe Crumple-Horned Snorkacks exist – probably. Also, he often drifts into his own thoughts and ends up exactly where he didn’t expect… like the girls’ toilet… oops!
When it comes to girls, he’s direct and not at all intimidated. Maybe it’s because he doesn’t take himself too seriously. He also doesn’t care if he’s rejected. He figures the right girl will come along eventually, and he’ll have the big family he’s always dreamed of having.
Fred is close with his friends. He’s always got some idea of something fun to do. He’ll always willing to put off homework until the last minute so that he can hang out with his friends. Plus, he’s picked his dad’s brain for all the secrets Hogwarts has to offer. However, he’ll occasionally wander off in the middle of a conversation or activity without really realizing it. | | Wednesday, December 19th, 2007 | | 3:10 pm |
